Presentation of CTF platform for competition and training in Cybersecurity specialization
On March 19, 2024, USAID's "Cybersecurity of Critical Infrastructure of Ukraine" project held a webinar to present a CTF-developed platform for cybersecurity competitions and training. This platform was developed by Volodymyr Porokhniak and Roman Kapusta, senior lab assistants of the V.V. Popovskyy Department of Infocommunication Engineering at NURE, on the basis of a regional cybersecurity laboratory established with support from the USAID Cybersecurity Project. During the webinar, developers Roman Kapusta and Volodymyr Porokhniak presented the platform and demonstrated its main functionalities. The platform has already proved itself well in the fall of 2023 during the Regional CTF competitions, in which teams from 11 universities in the east of Ukraine took part. In addition, a promising direction of the platform development is its modification for conducting laboratory and practical classes using the virtual environment in the mode of mini-competitions.
The moderator of the meeting was Yevdokymenko M.O., PhD, Professor of the V.V. Popovskyy Department of Infocommunication Engineering.
In general, the webinar was held in a warm and pleasant atmosphere, the participants actively asked questions and discussed the functionality of the platform.
