The department's research areas:
- methods for optimal management and state estimation of telecommunication systems (TCS) based on the use of dynamic (differential) formalisms and structures;
- theoretical foundations for the structural and functional design of infocommunication systems and their resource management based on the use of tensor-based research methodology;
- development of service management systems in multiservice, including cloud-based networks, methods for verification of network protocols based on artificial intelligence and E-network techniques;
- theoretical foundations for the design and restructuring of telecommunication systems and networks based on the use of multilayer graphs;
- methods for structural analysis and optimization of telecommunication systems and networks based on the use of multidimensional symplectic complexes and polyhedra;
- methods to ensure quality of service and resilience of future generations of networks based on traffic management and routing process optimization;
- research on the statistical characteristics of traffic in telecommunication networks based on the theory of fractals and self-similar processes;
- models and methods for ensuring information and network security in TCS, developing systems for risk assessment, vulnerability detection and network attack detection;
- methods and techniques for frequency-time management in 4G and 5G wireless networks.
