Educational program «Infocommunication Engineering and Network Security» — qualification level «Bachelor»

Training in this educational program is carried out by V.V. Popovskyy Department of Infocommunication Engineering, which also trains students in Cybersecurity, the educational program "Information Security Management" and the educational program "Telecommunications". This allows the department to create a full cycle of training in the design, administration and operation of infocommunication networks and ensure their cybersecurity. V.V. Popovskyy ICE Department is equipped with modern communication, network, server equipment and computers, which is combined into 15 educational, training and research laboratories and computer classes. The list of laboratories is constantly expanding and updated. For example, in the 2018/19 academic year, the Cybersecurity & Cloud Laboratory was introduced in the educational process, and in the 2019/20 academic year, two laboratories were introduced: the Routing & Switching Training and Research Laboratory. Laboratory) and the Network Security & Resilience Laboratory. The laboratories of the department use communication and server equipment from Cisco, Juniper, Hewlett-Packard, D-Link, Samsung, Panasonic, ISKRATEL, TP-Link, ZYXEL, hardware firewalls manufactured by Cisco and Fortinet. Manufacturers of personal computers and laptops are Dell, Acer, Hewlett-Packard, Lenovo, Compaq.
The department has more than 50 employees, including 12 full-time doctors of sciences and professors, as well as more than 20 candidates of sciences, associate professors. The teaching staff is constantly replenished with young teachers and specialists - graduates of graduate and doctoral studies at the department.
Within the educational program "Infocommunication Engineering and Network Security" students study the basic principles of construction and operation of infocommunication infrastructure of existing and promising global, national, regional, metropolitan, corporate, local networks using wired and wireless standards Ethernet, Wi-Fi , WiMax, LTE, LiFi, etc.), mobile technologies (2G / 3G / 4G / 5G), digital television, cognitive radio, satellite and Internet of Things. Students study computer modeling packages, network programming systems and languages, simulators and methods of planning, design and administration of hardware and software complexes of infocommunication networks related to the development of Web-applications on the platform .Net, Java Programming, javascript, HTML5, CSS3 , BootStrap, Manual QA + English for IT, etc.
ICE Department has introduced additional international training programs, author's courses on the most popular IT technologies on the basis of Cisco academies, Nure IT Academy. Students of the department have the opportunity to study abroad in international exchange programs in educational institutions in Sweden, Germany, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, France and other European countries. At the final stage, the launch of double degree programs with universities in Portugal and Slovakia.
