International cooperation

The Department deployed and has been successfully using modern telecommunication equipment of different vendors such as Cisco, Siemens, Avaya, D-Link, etc. in the educational process and scientific research. The equipment feature set covers all technological levels of Next Generation Networking (NGN) – from terminal devices and access networks to transport networks and network management systems

The Department of Infocommunication Engineering belongs to the Faculty of Cybersecurity (until February 2026 – the Faculty of Infocommunications) of Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics. The history of the Department is about 50 years. Every year the Department admits up to 100 entrants form Ukraine and other countries for full-time, part- time, distance, post-graduate learning and external studies as well as for studying in English.

The ICE Department was named after Volodymyr Popovskyy who led it from 1992 till 2018. During this period, under his leadership the laboratory base of the Department was cardinally renovated and updated (12 new laboratories and centers). He created and led a scientific school – 10 doctoral and more than 50 PhD theses were defended. There were published 7 monographs, more than 200 articles and more than 300 conference reports. More than 20 R&D works were completed.

The department trains specialists at the first (bachelor’s), second (master’s), and third (Doctor of Philosophy, PhD) levels of higher education in the following specializations:

125 Cybersecurity and Information Protection;
126 Information Systems and Technologies;
172 Electronic Communications and Radio Engineering.

Запрошуємо Вас взяти участь у роботі Міжнародної науково-технічної конференції «Інформаційно-комунікаційні технології та кібербезпека» (ІКТК-2026), яка відбудеться 3 – 4 грудня 2026 року в місті Харкові. Організатором конференції є Харківський національний університет радіоелектроніки. Координатор заходу – кафедра інфокомунікаційної інженерії ім. В.В. Поповського. Тематичні секції роботи конференції Секція 1 – Комунікаційні мережі та сервіси; Секція 2 – Інформаційні системи та технології; Секція 3 – Кібербезпека та захист інформації. Тези доповідей мають бути оформлені однією з робочих мов конференції та надіслані не пізніше 1 листопада 2026 року. Форма проведення конференції – дистанційна. Організаційний внесок становить 150 грн за кожну доповідь, прийняту до публікації у збірнику матеріалів конференції.

З 15 по 17 жовтня 2026 року в Національному університеті «Львівська політехніка» буде проведено Міжнародну науково-технічну конференцію «Сучасні проблеми в радіоелектроніці та інфокомунікаціях» (СПРІК-2026) присвячену 100-річчю Львівського радіоаматорського руху (International Conference on Advanced Trends in Radioelectronics and Infocommunications (ATRIC-2026) dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Lviv amateur radio movement). Метою конференції є обмін результатами наукових досліджень та сучасною інформацією в галузі радіоелектроніки та інфокомунікацій. Конференція буде проводитись в змішаному форматі: очно в НУ «Львівська політехніка» та у режимі відеоконференції. До участі у конференції запрошуються викладачі, вчені, фахівці, аспіранти, студенти. Подання заявок і повного тексту матеріалів доповіді – до 30.09.2026 р.
