A student of the V.V. Popovskyy ICE Department of KHNURE of the group TРІКI-21-2 Elizaveta Khristenko won a silver medal in the competition in Olympic taekwondo at the European University Games - 2022, which were held in Poland, the city of Lodz.
Recall that Yelizaveta was wounded at the beginning of Russia's full-scale aggression during the shelling, was treated for a long time, and after treatment she found the strength to resume training and prepare for the competition. At the competition she first defeated an experienced taekwondist from Poland, and in the second round she defeated a strong opponent from Germany. In the final match Elisabeth lost to the representative of Great Britain.
