On April 28, employees of the V.V. Popovskyy Department of Infocommunication Engineering took part in a large-scale campaign event "NURE Open Space", which took place in the heart of the city - Nikolsky shopping and entertainment center. Along with other leading departments of NURE, representatives of our department - students Karyna Horiainova and Roman Kapusta presented examples of simple but interesting tasks on ethical hacking to schoolchildren. The winners of the contest - guests of the event received valuable stylized prizes of the department and the university.

The guests of the event could take part in two exciting contests-games on ethical hacking, which were built on certain levels of difficulty that increased as the game stages were passed. The proposed tasks were aimed at familiarizing students with the real tools of a moral hacker, as well as familiarizing them with the sources of potential danger that users face on the Internet. In addition, as participants completed the tasks, they could receive unique identifiers that could be used to register for a prize drawing. During the event, some participants were able to pass absolutely all the proposed stages of the game and get super prizes.

The event was held at a very active pace, which allowed to familiarize a large number of interested applicants with the potential and opportunities of our department in the field of cybersecurity and info-communication technologies. We will be waiting for potential students at our university!
