Students of the ICE Department have begun studying at the University of Limoges (France) on an exchange program
This semester, 3rd year students of the V.V. Popovskyy ICE Department, Pichiienko Mariia, Ahmad Atwi, got the opportunity to go to France to study in the international semester program at the University of Limoges. The students were awarded an Erasmus+ scholarship with reimbursement of travel expenses. The information about this program was available at the NURE International Relations Department or on the university website. Competitive selection was based on CVs and cover letter. At each stage of the selection, students were assisted by the Head of the International Relations Department, T.S. Tkachova.
The training in the program Electrical Engineering and System control began on March 1. The educational process in Europe is significantly different from what Ukrainian students are used to. There is no usual division into lectures and practical classes, classes usually last 3 hours, after which the students take the task of consolidating knowledge or test. The examination session here does not scare anyone, because most exams are held in the middle of the semester. Project work is also a mandatory component of training.
The first impressions of France were fantastic. After the frosty and snowy Kharkiv, it seemed strange to see flowering trees and people in light clothes. The dormitory pleasantly surprised by the rooms in which look more like small studio apartments. Of course, a long trip to another country seems risky, but the result is now meeting all expectations. Many new acquaintances from all over the world, free education at a European university, opportunities for further careers - all this would be impossible in other circumstances.
