EU Erasmus+ program in 2022. Interim results
In 2022, the EU Erasmus+ Programme will be 35 years old and during this time, a team from KHNURE V.V. Popovskyy ICE Department implemented the Erasmus+ project Jean Monnet module: "Integrating the EU cybersecurity framework and policies in Ukraine.
✏️ Our project aims to promote, disseminate and integrate EU cyber security frameworks, policies and best practices among scientific and educational institutions, as well as industry, business and government authorities in Ukraine.
🔎Nowadays, we (Maryna Yevdokymenko, Oleksandr Adamov, Oleksandra Yeremenko, Ievgeniia Kuzminykh) have achieved such results:
✔️Developed materials of four author's courses:
- EU cybersecurity framework and policies;
- EU best practices: detection and analysis of cyber attacks through machine learning;
- EU best practices and strategies on cyber resilience;
- EU best practices for the Internet of Things and smart infrastructure.
✔️ Taught more than 200 students from many universities of Ukraine (Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics, NTUU "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute named after Igor Sikorsky", Khmelnytsky National University, KNEU "Vadym Hetman", State University of Telecommunications, National University "Lviv Polytechnic").
✔️ Held a round table with representatives of the private and public sectors in the field of cybersecurity and participated in the Congress of the Ukrainian Association of European Studies and the School of Young Scientist 2021.
✔️ Conducted research and submitted an article for publication in the collective monograph "European Studies in the World: Lessons for Ukraine".
Thanks to the Erasmus + Jean Monnet project "Integration of EU Cyber Security Framework and Policies in Ukraine", Ukraine has successfully started the process of implementing EU best practices in cyber security through the teaching of developed courses.
During the first year of the project we have already managed to attract more than 200 students from different universities of Ukraine (with the planned number of 180-200 students in three years).
This is already a success! And this indicates the relevance of the project, the quality of the developed courses and teaching! So despite the difficult situation in Ukraine, we continue the project activities and raise awareness of the EU framework and policies on cybersecurity !!!
Our team is grateful to Erasmus + for their support, coordination and experience in project activities.
Our advice to all who want to become real Erasmusists: believe in your strengths, submit projects and disseminate the best European practices in Ukraine!
Everything will be Ukraine!
