The tutors of the V.V. Popovskyy ICE Department have successfully completed the online course "Penetration Testing" in the framework of the USAID project "Cyber Security of Ukraine's Critical Infrastructure".
In the framework of the USAID project "Cybersecurity of Ukraine's Critical Infrastructure," the educational component of which is coordinated by the V.V. Popovskyy ICE Department , the online course, "Penetration Testing", was organized from July 11 to August 31, 2022, by Prof. M.A. Yevdokimenko. The lecturer and instructor was Oleksii Baranovskyi - PhD, accredited instructor (ISC)2, ISACA and EC-Council, etc
The course attendees were tutors from leading Ukrainian Universities that prepare cybersecurity specialists. From KNURE and the V.V. Popovskyy ICE Department, Prof. Yevdokymenko M.O. and Prof. Ageyev D.V. , and Associate Professors Kovalenko T.M. and Shapovalova A.S. took part in the course. The course "Penetration Testing" focuses on the principles of intelligence and information gathering from target systems, tools for gaining access to target systems, techniques for assessing real business risks, and techniques for scanning target networks with best-in-class tools through hands-on and lab work and exercises.The main aspect of the course was practical exercises, which took place at the RangeForce cyber test ground, during which participants practiced their acquired knowledge and practical skills.
This course is very important, and it' s materials and acquired skills will be used to update the course "Fundamentals of Vulnerability Analysis and Ethical Hacking," which is taught at the V.V. Popovskyy ICE Department for students majoring in 125 "Cybersecurity".
