The tutors of the V.V. Popovskyy ICE Department completed the course "Cloud Cyber Security" within the framework of the USAID project "Cyber Security of Critical Infrastructure in Ukraine".
From July 11 to August 26, 2022, tutors of the V.V. Popovskyy Department of Infocommunication Engineering, Prof. Radivilova T.A. and Assoc.Prof. Kovalenko T.M., passed the course "Cloud Cyber Security" within the framework of the summer training program of the project supported by the USAID agency. For 6 weeks, participants studied the basics of cybersecurity in the cloud environment, ways to eliminate known risks and vulnerabilities, focusing on building a robust secure cloud architecture. These courses will count as professional development for tutors.
The course included management, governance, auditing, law and regulatory compliance in cloud infrastructure. Course instructor, Dr. Sylvia Eloof-Calderwood, PhD, with years of experience at leading telecommunications companies and an instructor at Florida International University - shared the main current trends in cloud cybersecurity, talked about the methods used for deployment. related to secure isolation, application security, data protection, access control, privacy, key management, identification and authorization, high availability and compliance and compliance of infocommunication systems using cloud computing technologies with basic regulatory and law requirements.
Among the special features of the course is the wide coverage not only of technological, but also economic, law issues, tasks of business management of infocommunication systems and companies that actively use cloud services, technologies and infrastructure in their activities. The participants got useful experience in approaches and methods of lecturing on this topic in foreign universities.
