The online course "Malware Analysis" (Advanced Malware), organized in the framework of USAID project "Cybersecurity of Critical Infrastructure of Ukraine" is finished
From July 11 to August 31, 2022, an online course "Analysis of Malware" was held, which was planned and organized in the framework of the implementation of the USAID project "Cybersecurity of Critical Infrastructure in Ukraine".The coordinator of the educational component of this project of the V.V. Popovskyy Department of Infocommunication Engineering Prof.Yevdokymenko M.O.
The course instructor was Alexander Adamov, PhD, a renowned malware expert. On behalf of KNURE and of the V.V. Popovskyy ICE Department, the course was taught by PhD Shapovalova A.S.
This course helped Anastasia to deepen her knowledge of host attribute analysis for phishing URLs, static and dynamic POPs analysis, Android malware analysis, encryption analysis, etc. The course actively applied Machine Learning techniques to solve phishing URL detection tasks. Currently, all the skills obtained will be implemented in the discipline "Methods of detection and analysis of malware," which is taught at the V.V. Popovskyy ICE Department for students who are studying of majoring in 125 "Cybersecurity."
