NETWORK SECURITY & RESILIENCE LABORATORY

The laboratory is located in room 308, in responsible charge – Professor Yeremenko O.S. Network Security & Resilience Laboratory is a structural subdivision of the material, technical and training facilities of the department.

LABORATORY EQUIPMENT INCLUDES:

  • rack with server and network equipment represented by servers (2 pcs), switches (8 pcs), routers (2 pcs), firewall (2 pcs), manufactured by Cisco and D-Link;
  • integrated workstations equipped with modern laptops (7 pcs.), switches (3 pcs.), routers (3 pcs.) and firewall (3 pcs.).

THE LABORATORY PROVIDES EFFECTIVE CONDITIONS FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF BASIC EDUCATION AND P ROFESSIONAL AND EDUCATION AND SCIENCE PROGRAMS:

  • in training bachelors in the specialty 172 “Telecommunications and radio engineering” educational programs: “Telecommunications”, “Infocommunication Engineering” and masters in specialty 172 “Telecommunications and Radio Engineering”, educational programs: “Telecommunications systems and networks” and “Infocommunication engineering” educational programs;
  • in the training of bachelors in the 125 «Cybersecurity», «Information Security Management» educational program and masters in the 125 «Cybersecurity», «Information Security Administrative Management» educational program.

These disciplines integrate the main sections of the following Cisco safety orientation courses: Introduction to Cybersecurity, Cybersecurity Essentials, CCNA Cybersecurity Operations, CCNA Security.

Tutors, who teach networking courses, usually have certificates of mastering the appropriate Cisco-courses or are current instructors of Cisco Networking Academy, which operates at V. V. Popovskyy Department of Infocommunication Engineering.

The equipment of the laboratory can be used for open seminars, lectures, master classes and other educational activities involving leading experts in improving the quality of education in the educational programs of the department, expanding relationships with employers, the acquisition of practical experience of teachers and students; conduct research and development activities and scientific-practical cooperation in the development and implementation of modern systems and technologies on specialties 172 – “Telecommunications and Radio Engineering” and 125 – «Cybersecurity».

The laboratory is provided with didactic and handout materials in accordance with the educational curricula for the relevant disciplines.
